Quote of The Week: “Our Deepest Fear…”

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates
others. I pulled this quote out this week because I have really noticed a pattern in my own life that as I step more into my light and shine bright like a diamond (oh yes that was a Rihanna reference), I get really scared sometimes and notice ways in which I can sabotage feeling so good. When I notice it happening I do a number of things to get myself back on track, which usually includes referring to a quote like the one above to remind me of who I really AM. This week my invitation to you is to find a quote or an affirmation that you can carry around with you to remind you to Play BIG on and off your Yoga Mat. I know I say this a lot but the world really needs you… YOU just as you, with the message only you can provide. SO go Shake what your mama gave you (I mean that in a G rated sense :)),and I would love to hear over at the blog what you came up with :)!
