🍂The Turning of Seasons: Some Fall Equinox Inspiration for You!

Happy Fall!

Yesterday in the Northern Hemisphere marked the Autumnal Equinox… which is ourĀ transitionĀ into the Fall season.

The equinox means equal day and equal night, and from this point on the days will get increasingly shorter and the nights will get longer.

How do theĀ seasons shifting relate to living Essenceā€™tially as You?

The seasons and the rhythms of the year offer us a mirror of our own unique, essential nature.

We are not just Spring (initiation) and Summer (growth); we are also Fall (harvest/assessment) and Winter (release).

We are both yin and yang, sun and moon, earth and sky.

If youā€™ve been with me for a while you knowĀ how passionate I am about sharing this body of work with you, especially when it comes to realigning to the seasonal shifts,Ā because I want you to live feeling more in flow and harmony with your body, your Self, and your life rather than feeling depleted, or like your swimming upstream.

Being able to integrate this seasonal awareness into your life offers you an opportunity to be even more in tuned with your Self and the world around you.

Specifically, the Fall represents the harvest, and also a time of letting go and preparing for the full release of Winter.Ā It signals to us the importance ofĀ slowingĀ down, and the more inward phase of the cycle.Ā By design, weā€™re not meant to be going a mile a minute all the time..

Itā€™s a time to celebrate.Ā To sit in all that there is to be grateful for and celebrate, even if the seeds we planted and the growth we tended to didnā€™t work out as planned-which 2020 has shown us in many ways. šŸ˜‰

Often weā€™re taught to only celebrate once something is fully complete, or only if it ā€œworkedā€ out, yet I feel that itā€™s so important to harvest along the way – to celebrate the journey, and enjoy the moment, rather than wait for the end result.

The Fall is also a time to assess/reflect.

To lovingly ask yourself with curiosity what worked well this past season that you want to carry forth? What didnā€™t work so well? What did you learn from what didnā€™t work so well that you need to release and also make new choices with?

The more you take the time toĀ harvest and releaseĀ in the Fall, it allows you to prepare with more ease for the full release of the Winter.

Itā€™s in going with and aligning with your true nature that you can meet your Self through lifeā€™s ebbs and flows.

A few ideas as youā€™re welcoming in this season of Fall would be:

  • Do some journaling on the questions I have proposed above.
  • Create an altar/sacred space that really helps you remember to return home to you and what this season of time represents for you that you want to return to.
  • Go slower. Let yourself take moments to pause and just be. Cozy up and let yourself savor more.
  • Eat warming foods like soups, root veggies.
  • And give yourself permission to do more grounding types of yoga-even just laying on the floor in savasana is great, or doing some restorative poses.

Wishing you a beautiful, reflective Fall, and if youā€™re feeling inspired, Iā€™d love for you to join us onĀ October 10th from 9:30 AM -1:30 PMĀ for a virtual retreat Iā€™ve created calledĀ Redefining Soul Nourishment in Unprecedented Times. It will be an opportunity for you to have 4 spacious hours dedicated to filling up your cup and clarifying soul nourishing practices that you can carry forth with you as you head into the rest of the year and beyond. Itā€™s going to be a inspiring day of learning, practice, and community, and Iā€™d love to have you join us! To learn more info,Ā click here.
