“Phenomenal Woman” (some inspiration for you)

A few Saturday’s ago, I sat in the moonlight with 17 other beautiful souls. It was day 3 of my 4-day Yoga’licious “Claiming this is Me” Retreat, and it was time for each woman to share with us who she is beyond the identities we often shape ourselves around. To claim herself fully as the magical, magnificent soul she is.

That evening, as each woman walked into the center of the labyrinth (which I set up as a physical symbol of them each walking into their own center),  I felt an energy awaken within me. It felt primal, new, and yet ancient at the same time. I felt metaphorically like a midwife, getting to witness each woman birthing herself and standing more deeply in who she is.

Our Labyrinth and our Sacred Circle from the weekend:

There’s something powerful and clearing that occurs when you choose to be you, unapologetically. When you choose to move through the old stories that have been covering up your true Self, and into a deeper knowing of love and acceptance for yourself. When you know that there is more to life than just going through the motions and getting through the day.

I wanted to share this little sliver of the retreat with you, because I also want you to remember that energy that also lives within you. No matter how far away you may feel from your Self right now, my intention with today’s love letter to you is for you to remember that pulsing, vibrant, wise woman that is you-as you sit here reading. That she’s in there, and it’s your birthright to be you.

I want to leave you today with a poem written by Maya Angelou that I hope reminds you and connects you with the Phenomenal Woman that you are.

xo,

P.S. If you’ve been craving a space to be seen… to deepen your relationship to yourself, learn even more deeply how to tune into you, and take action on visions you are ready to birth then stay tuned because next month I will be sharing the return of my 6 month group program: Re-aligning with your Natural Rhythms and Essential Expression. It’s a program I only do once a year, and only take a up to 12 women, so if you’ve been wanting to join me I will be sharing that special announcement soon.
